About Us

Redeemer's Recovery Ranch was founded in July 2001 as a non-profit 501(c)3 Incorporated organization by Sylvia J. Helms. "My heart's desire and passion is to give to others what God has so graciously given to me."

Together, under the leadership of a Christian Board of Directors, Redeemer's Recovery Ranch has stepped forward to minister to women caught in the strongholds that are life debilitating, teaching "THE Truth" that leads to healing, lasting freedom, and abundant life, while providing a safe haven from harm's way.

Sylvia J. Helms, CSAC

As a small child I experienced much pain and suffering. My childhood caused me to become a shame-based young adult. For years I tried to find something or someone to fix me. I tried alcohol, bars, men, and prescriptive drugs. I became suicidal, believing there was no hope. My children and I suffered tremendously as a result of my woundedness and rebellion. But God, in His perfect timing, delivered me from myself.

He allowed me to go back to school and become certified as a NC Substance Abuse Counselor. I have studied His Word through Precept and Living Proof Ministries for many years as well as worked in the secular field of addiction for eight years.

God has shown to me that this is indeed His plan as He has provided many confirmations, resources, and people along the way to help. I hope you will pray and ask the Lord if He would have you become involved in this mission, so together we can minister His love and mercy to His wounded daughters.

Cindy Hebert - Prayer Coordinator

Cindy is is a home-maker and president of Resident's Association in her neighborhood. She sings at her home church, Odell Baptist. "I was dealing with some emotional hurts from my childhood and realized that while my addictions were not substance related I had addictions none the less. I realized that in spite of the type of addiction, we all share the same hurts and our healing process is the same. The Lord burdened my heart to help Sylvia with her vision. I am very thankful that the Lord brought Sylvia and RRR to my life and is using me to help with RRR in order to help the women who come through its doors.

"I know first-hand the need for Christian rehabilitation and I have a desire to see women change their lives by the truth of God’s word. Many substance abuse programs can help a person get clean but only Jesus can cleanse the heart and transform the lives of those who believe in faith that He can set them free. It is a God-given privilege to serve and be a part of this ministry."
